Succeed Poem by Rick De La Pena

Succeed

Living a life of diamonds,
Sometimes I need to be.
Staying on my island
Searching out the sea.
Looking for golden silence
No words can set me free.
My mind whirling in defiance
Gasping for air I need.
Wishing on a tall ship
Find a place to concede.
Before I lose grip
I know I will succeed.
