Succeeding To Young Poem by Jerry Abrahamson

Succeeding To Young

Don't you just hate
The people who succeed
At a very young age
And do it without even trying

You would think that
They could have anything
That they ever wanted
By just snappong their fingers

Until we see
Them self-destruct
Right in front of our eyes
Right in plain sight

That's why I've stayed out
Intil middle age
I've always been scared
Of self-destructing in front of everybody
