Such Light



Dare I speak of such beauty you've shown me? That light will glimmer in your eye, when we first meet. Dimmer it gets now, whenever we part. There's a halo about your face and the sun seems to always shine at your back, haloing the perfections that beautify your expressions. In such light I see all that is true, the purity of your free spirit, and all the majesty's that singular light reveals. I thought of you a commoner, at first, till I learned more and the more I grew to want to be with you. But even perfect bulbs grow dimmer. The highlights shown weaker and the halo withered too. Till all was left was a burnt out bulb and I alone in the dark...
