Suffer Poem by Allyson Gordon

Suffer

Every tear that rolls down my face
Is a reminder of the pain you left me with
But you will never know how you hurt me so
All the scars and sleepless nights

I think about death more than I do life
When will I finally crash and burn?
How long til I end it all?
It’s not a question of if, but when

For I know the day will come
When I really don’t care about anything
And I have nothing holding me back
Will you be sorry then?

Will you weep at my grave?
Knowing that you were the one that sent me there
At least I won’t have to see you
Or pretend to love you any more

So look to the heavens
And scream out “why? ” with tears in your eyes
I’ll be looking down smiling
Knowing you are suffering
