Sugar Poem by Anisa Tara

Sugar

Like a taste once on your tongue,
The sugar melts and dissipates.
Lovely to the senses,
Once it leaves,
You don't commiserate.

But the sugar drives home,
The sugar ruminates.
And rots and spoils,
Before you can,
Have another taste.
