Suicide Poem by Krista Thomas

Suicide

She slits her wrists, then her throat,
has one more look at her suicide note,
her last goodbye to the world she knew,
her thoughts clearing, except for you,
she grasps her last breath and tries to hold on,
she thinks to herself 'what's taking so long? ',
just a pretty girl with nothing left to lose,
scarring your memory, there to confuse,
goodbye is all that's left to say now,
the shows over little girl, take a bow,
her eyes grown heavy as she falls to the deep,
she lands on the floor in a unruly heap,
'I love you' she says as she slowly dies,
so much for no long goodbyes.
