Summer Poem by Tyrzah Corbett-Ursu

Summer

A warm summer night

As I lay in bed

Still quite bright

No thoughts in my head

Not a sound in the house

A warm breeze creeps through the window

Like a cat creeping up on a mouse

A butterfly flies by its wings flapping like waving hello

I close my eyes and I drift into dream

As the last of sunlight fades into a beam
