The sun lingered softly on the edge of the day,
while golden light danced where we used to stay.
Your laughter was warm as the August breeze,
and time slowed down beneath the trees.
We chased little sunsets across the sky,
with salt on our skin and stars passing by.
Every touch felt new, every moment true—
summer seemed brighter because of you.
But seasons turn, and warm nights fade,
leaving memories in the places we made.
And though autumn may call us away,
I'll carry that summer in my heart every day.
For some loves burn only beneath summer skies,
then disappear like the sun when it dies.
But ours left a glow that time can't erase—
a little forever in one fleeting place.
