Summer Skin Poem by Amanda secchiutti

Summer Skin

Rating: 5.0

I'll shed my summer skin and fly away,
and then it'll be time for the goodbyes we've got to say.
Once the summer sun dissapears,
these last 3 months are locked away.
only for memories sake do we pretend to feel anything we felt back then.
How long will this last?
'Till you release from the spell you cast.
Every single word you're saying,
feels like something you've already said,
to another girl's broken heart you decided to mend.
Managing your time 'till you walk away.
Love's not an easy game to play.
