Sun, Sea And Hecks! Poem by Jay Alexander

Sun, Sea And Hecks!

If you are by the sea,
The sea is just the sea.
If you see patterns
Of tiny naked feet
By the sea,
That is all you see,
And nothing else.
But see this,
Sand which can be very
Beautiful and stretch
For kilometres by the sea,
Is not to be confused
With a pile
Of sand in a sandbox,
Built by a certain C,
Even though it comes
From the same beach,
Mentioned above.
C. who now lives by the sea,
And goes to sea
Frequently,
Is not a seaman.
(this poem is flowing
faster then I can write it)
So we can safely say,
If C says: " from sea to
Shining sea " he is bluffing
Because he cannot tell
One sea from another, and,
Either all seas are shining,
Or none are!
