Sunday Oceans Poem by David Holady

Sunday Oceans

Sunday wind and clouds and beer
and the magnificent sun of March
riding my blue bike along the river
listening to irony and metaphor
bicker
holding light and heavy thoughts
and hope and think
write a novel every second minute
find three soul-mates and color their toes
coconut white
live in Monaco with long curly hair
with terriers
and actor friends
my dreams rivers
and seas
and oceans
from the reality of
mellow
beer-buzzed afternoons
I'm made alone
to struggle with
