Sunlight And Cobwebs Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Sunlight And Cobwebs

Swallowed, ferocious claws bid the seas
Held down by the old roaring trees,
The shelf has been set up too high
Maybe you were kept for someone or the skies
But it should be for your self, walk these miles
Soon you’ll find where you belong, to stay
Write down every scar, every bruise, every tune
In the millions of minutes of loss and search
Be found, dear love, sing the birds’ symphony
As they attempt to mend these wounds
Let the winds of winter send you shivers
Of better tomorrows, pleasant coffee hours
Let the warmth of summer tickle you
With harmonious seconds, piano dances
Sunlight and cobwebs won’t get you lost
Be found little feather, we’ll crawl together
