The sun peaks up, over the fading dark.
Smiling-ready to start a new day.
Painting the world with brilliant color.
Creating her own masterpiece.
Happy to bring light to existence,
Providing never ending hope-
That the dark will always melt.
Providing assurance that-
There will be a dawn tomorrow,
Even if there aren't any stars.
The sun will keep on burning-
Through all our fears.
Daylight may have ended,
But the dawn is coming.
