Sunrise Poem by wild fire

Sunrise

I saw it there,
in your eyes.
I saw it,
my last sunrise.

The day you left,
keys pitched toward me.
I gave them back,
and then you screamed.

I stood afraid,
my life fell apart.
'Please stay!
Listen to the screams of my broken heart! '

The sun was orange,
setting in the sky.
Tears put out its glow,
as you walked right by.

'I love you! '
No answer came.
Just the sound of a car door,
then the pitter patter of rain.

I sat in the empty house,
with the cat,
Alone, I cried.
Soon, left the cat.

I thought aloud,
Kitten only stared.
Looking out the window,
'what do you see out there?

The sun will never rise,
here again.
I only see it in your eyes,
but this is just a place you've been.

It's cold now
and I walk out side in the snow.
Its freezing out here,
where on earth, sun, did you go? '

I scream into the wind,
a thousand times your name.
Until i can barely whisper,
'I'll never see the sun again.'

Kitten stares from the window,
and I wonder why I scream.
You can't hear me, you never did,
and never loved me.

Today was the last sunrise,
at sun down I will die.
Without you
and your beautiful sunrise.
