Sunrise Poem by Aeron Manabo

Sunrise

Are you tired?
Rest my love.
Rest your head on my shoulder.
Hold my hand tight.

Hold me in your arms.
I want to feel your heat.
The heat of your love.
The vigor that will strengthen me.

I will protect you.
Don’t be afraid.
I am here always.
I will never leave.

The moon’s beautiful.
Can you see it my dear?
Look up.
Oh what a marvel!

Do you see the stars?
The brilliance they emit.
Their splendor we can see.
The glory of His majesty.

You and I are alone.
This precious moment we share.
I want time to stop.
To stay here forever.

When I look at you,
I believe.
I believe there are miracles.
And you’re the evidence.

You’re my angel.
Heaven has sent you.
To show me life.
To show me its meaning.

You’re like a goddess.
I’m not joking.
You may not see it.
But in my eyes it’s clear.

You’re my treasure,
more precious than gold.
No one can purchase you.
For you are irreplaceable.

You’re my queen.
In my tiny castle.
I’ll give you anything.
Even my life, I will.

You’re my destiny.
We’re meant to be.
God’s the perpetrator.
We’re a victim of conspiracy.

The sun’s shining.
Wake up and see.
Look at its might.
Look at its wonder.

I will never forget this.
Never in my life.
For these moments remind me.
That you’re always here by my side.
