Sunrise Autumn Breeze Poem by Eric Paeplow

Sunrise Autumn Breeze

Under trees of amber glory and fields of flowing grass
I sat in rapt amazement, as the seasons slowly passed
As the midnight dark had faded, at the sunrise autumn sky
Giving way to the wondrous beauty, aglow before my eyes

Unleashing its colorful spectrum, as its rays were shining bright
The sun, blazing trails of saffron glory, across the morning sky
Revealing a woodland trail, lined with flowers of vivid blue and white
As though to lead me to a glorious golden glen, just out of sight

Where I could rest my tired soul, where I could rest in peace at last
Surrounded by resplendent beauty, of trees and flowers and grass
And consume its vibrant hues, taking into my soul, all that I see
As I lie in quite repose, gazing upon the beauty that surrounds me

And inhale the gentle breeze, perfumed and warm and sweet
Filling my very essence, with is invigorating fragrance, complete
Bringing a smile to my lips and unleashing my tired soul to fly free
Where I can glide above it all, drifting on the sunrise autumn breeze
