Sunset Poem by Mockingjay Mellark

Sunset

Her light spills over
This great blazing globe
A fiery red molten ball
Coloring her entourage
Faces raised proudly/ banners a-fluttering
Like the guard of the queen
Whose uniforms are the scarlet and gold of royalty
Are the pillars of clouds
Crowning her glory/ for all to see
Violet, turquoise and plum
Rouge, scarlet and gold/ all the colors of the rainbow
They only enhance her setting beauty
As she sinks behind her guard
She shall again rise on the morrow/ so feel no sorrow
Her light will burst forth
Breaking dawn
The hues she casts on her guard
She will rise above
And crown G-d as Master Of All
Just
