Superman

Didn't realize
that I could relate to him
as much as I do now

See everything I don't
really want to
Hear things I don't
want to believe

Flying high knowing
kryptonite will make me
fall down

Feel that tearing up
would make it better
But no tear gland
makes no wet eye

Run and run
as fast as light
and still not
escape from
my inside

Hide the fact
That steel
is how hard
I really am

Longing for something
I can't have
And wondering if
I could ever come home.
