Suspect. Poem by Derrick Andrews

Suspect.

Don't think I haven't noticed you watching my actions.
Attempting to mime me in your half-assed fashion.
It's almost like you're taunting me, you make it so clear,
That the place that you desire is what I have here.

The funniest part is that you'll never win.
And that I'll always be laughing while hiding my grin.
My presence right here is proof that you're losing.
You were never a choice in her finalized choosing.

Never mind the fact that you want to be me.
Inside, your desperation is all that I see.
Can't seem to grasp why you even persist,
Killing your own time while your attempts are dismissed.
