Sway Poem by Katelynn Farris

Sway

She gave her heart away.
A price she had to pay.

She thought he was her man.
She thought they had a go set plan.

She thought they would grow old together.
Eternal love, forever and ever.

He took her hand and they danced.
Nothing in the air but romance.

Hips swinging from side to side.
To have her in his arms was his pride.

Gazing in lust, Hearts in trust,
Swaying around stirring up dust.

What went wrong but still felt right?
She thought there was no end in sight.

Then one day he dropped her hand.
He even took off their wedding band.

He said “Im sorry there was nothing there.”
Nothing but hurtful words and silence filled the air.
