Sweet Pain Poem by Emmy Steven

Sweet Pain

Suddenly, a heavy pang she felt
In moaning and groaning, she wept
As she moved helplessly, she cried
Wishing her tears could get dried

Hot tears rolling out in fear
her expected time was so near
Obeying voices telling her to push
More pains came out in ambush

In total anguish, her soul shivered
In sweats, were her burden relieved
Alas! A little cry was heard
Lo! A little babe was held

With pains produced out of pleasure
She received a joy without measure
