Don't I deserve love?
When I turned sixteen,
no one greeted me,
and I felt alone.
One part woman,
one part girl,
I wondered what the years ahead
would bring.
Then I realized
there are two things I know for sure:
God gave me this life
to live, to love,
and to cherish the little things
that matter most,
especially the people
who walk beside me.
Sweet Sixteen.
