Tackling Hunger Globally Poem by Muhammad Farhan

What is Bread?
Do we know its importance?
Hunger has spread,
Still unaware of its significance.

Responsible for the debilitation of people,
Physically, physiologically and psychologically.
Making the poor cripple,
And needs to be dealt philosophically.

Hunger is cause and effect of poverty,
As an abundant asset existing among the poor,
Living with a mattress and no property
The deluxe sponsors and feels a sense of grandeur.

The poor is in hunger, almost entrapped,
Can’t pay debts, therefore depressed.
Flooding up with thoughts, at last decides,
Didn’t gives up, but still suicides.

This is a vast world of rich and beggarly,
Surrounded by wealth but hunger amid,
People starving and dying unnaturally,
A happily atmosphere, still humid.
