Tailgating Poem by Andy Barrette

Tailgating

The deep blue of the evening sky,
that brings my thoughts to places high
while basic music keeps me low,
leaves me with just one place to go:
Amidst the crowds of happy fans
caught up in all their lazy plans,
I sit as I proceed to write
until the dim sky turns to night.
