Take A Bow Poem by Bryce Miller

Take A Bow

Take a bow! Take a bow.
If this life is a play.
If this play we must not question of fact.
Show me the script! Show me the playwright!
It's time for the curtain call to be the main act!

Show me the lighters! Show me the stage directors!
Everyone has their role. Everyone has their time of day.
In this scene of life, everyone has a part to play!

Not everyone is in the spotlight,
and not everyone is even on the stage,
but everyone has a purpose in this production,
and everyone has a page to display.

Your part is essential, written in the copyright.
Even if you feel away, from when the director shouts action!
The stage is your spotlight! So every, single, person in this play,
take a bow!

Even if no one is there! Even if no one sees!
Take a bow. For all that you can be.
Your contribution and effort will be remembered.
As it should be as it would be as it will be always and forever, without measure.

By millions, by just one, by all. Your part to play has been important to someone, and not just because of such a curtain call.

If a puzzle had a piece missing, you would notice!
Just as in this play of life, if you were missing there would be a difference!

So everyone, take a bow!

Because you did it! You! You're the main character!
You have the lead role! Of your own play of life,
that you yourself solely control.

Take to the stage! You exist! Just like everyone else in this play.
Take to the stage! Stand up tall! You are here, and have so much to show us all.

It's your time to shine! The spotlight is yours! Here and now! The world awaits to grant you applause! For the act of life you have portrayed thus far. You did it.

So take a bow.
