Take Away The Petals - Poem by Lillian M.Dunham

Take away the petals...
and you have no rose!

Take away the sun-shine...
and the day comes to a close!

Take away the rain...
and you take away the spring!

Take away the church bells...
you won't hear them ring!

Take away our "stars and stripes"...
and it could not be unfurled!

Take away the love of God...
you would not have a world!
