Take It All Poem by Fate McFate

Take It All

I give it up to you
All to you
Take it from me.
All to you Lord, give me rest
Am done doing it on my own
I need you Jesus. Take all away
Make me whole. Make me new
Take it all away and give me your own
Your very kind, full of kindness
In the fullness of joy, make me whole.

Take this human away, and fill my soul
Make me a reflection of your love
In the joy of your holiness
I crave for you
You alone.

You alone
I give up to.

as humans, we tend to evolve from the one being controlled by the world's circumstances, to humans taking control and then the more we take control, and live according to our aim, quite independent from circumstances. But then we realize the huge power and wisdom that resides outside of us and willingly we give up control, this time not to the circumstances of the world and society but to the Creator of the universe, to that high power that tends to guide us and let us go with the flow. the miracle in it all is that once we reach that stage all religions become sooo similar. I have read the story of the mystic hindu, the sufi, the mystic Christians; once we surrender to that higher power in the universe, strife and competition seems to fade completely and all of us seem to move to unity with each other and the whole world. Wow, very thought provoking poem. I enjoyed reading it (and reflecting on it) .
