I’m a soldier and I’ve fought for my land
Served king and county and it makes me more of a man
And I don’t want anyone to take it away from me

I’m a banker and I’ve made money all my life
I’ve fed the wealthy and the poor all the while
And I don’t want anyone to take it away from me

I’m a dweller of the countryside
And I marvel at the beauty in which I reside
And I don’t want anyone to take it away from me

I’m a father who has brought up a son
To respect the world that he’ll live in as a man
And I don’t want anyone to take it away from him
