Take Me Down Poem by Marquita Lawson

Take Me Down

chorus:
Take me down (echo)To the water's edge (echo)
Plunge me ‘neath (echo)That salty brine (echo)
When I arise I'll shout Hallelujah!
‘Gonna walk through life together with my Savior Divine!

Many Years ago (echo)I went astray (echo)
I wandered by night (echo)And I wandered by day (echo)
Then Jesus came(echo) and set me free(echo)
Now I know our God has aplanfor you and me!

When times get rough (echo) and hope is gone(echo)
When hearts grow cold (echo)and I can't go on(echo)
He'll hear my cries(echo) and still my pain(echo)
I Am the child of the King forever cleansed in His name.

chorus:
So, take me down (echo)To the water's edge (echo)
Plunge me ‘neath (echo)That salty brine (echo)
When I arise I'll shout Hallelujah!
‘Gonna walk through life together with my Savior Divine!
