Take Not This Path Poem by Vincent Igwilo

Take Not This Path

An empty street
A lonely road
A stony path
Shrubs covering the sideways

It leads to hell
Its destination - depression
Its foundation - laziness
Its bedrock - procrastination

Now you see
Why every man is not a legend
Discipline is not sold in the market
It takes 'Hercules' strenght

Do you wish to be a poem
To be on the lips;
Of the 25th century
Take not this path.
