Taken For Granted Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Taken For Granted

Rating: 4.8

Extending heartiest greetings and felicitations
Globally to all the friendly and foe-nations
Embarking on a new journey of aspirations
Rejoicing on the solemn historic-occasion
One of the major players of the world-team
As a rich legacy on the earth-
That demands unbounded love and respect
Preserving its glory as Union of Republics.

The Republic Day:
As an occasion of gaiety and celebrations
To adopt and adapt to the innovations
Renewing old pledges on this historic day
For secularism, nationalism and patriotism.

Working with dedication to make a nation-
Strong, vibrant, elegant and egalitarian
A social order just and a fair rule of law
A life of social harmony taken for granted.
