Wishing For Perfection

Taken Over - Poem by Wishing For Perfection

Day by day thought by thought
Her mind takes over her body.
She lost who she once was.
Taken over by someone else.
Someone who shows her the truth
Someone who makes her hate herself.
She never lets anyone know
She never lets anyone inside her mind
For they will try to help
And make things worse.
She only knows this because she learned
the hard way.
She confided and was betrayed.
She never got to end what was suppose
to be ended.
Now her mind attacks her as her thoughts begin to race
reminding her how weak she is.
how she fucked everything up
for how she knew she shouldn’t have told
but she still did, how she ignored her better
judgment
and as a punishment.
her mind makes her live.
day by day.
making each one worse than the last.
showing her how she would be so much better
off, if she never told and secretly slipped away.
