Taking Poem by Melissa Joy Chesky

Taking

Rating: 5.0

I'm stealing from you, and you from me,
We are equal thieves of each other's needs,
We're unselfish in our selfish ways,
Taking and giving and taking everyday
Tearing nothing from the heart
Not ripping something of importance apart
I just take from you, as equally as you from me.
As simple as any heartless relationship could be.
