Talents (2)

It’s not for gain or foolish pride
These talents we receive
But so that others join the bride
And Jesus Christ believe

So priests of God who hog the light
Think not God’s children dumb
But those with gifts to show His might
Allow them now to come

When Jesus came to set you free
He took you as His own
Saying the gifts you had from me
Were not for you alone

Take heed to all your God has said
Look up and see His ways
See how true servants raise the dead
Within these latter days

For though His gifts a child will save
Through Jesus Christ His Son
You’ll even raise up from the grave
Believe it shall be done

God says “Though some may say they’re mine
Boasting, they cry out loud
Yet soon I’ll cut them from the Vine
And throw them to the crowd

Your talents child, are not to hide
Your gifts must do some good
Arise in Jesus far and wide
To use them as you should”…
