Tales From The Circus: Roller Coaster Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

Tales From The Circus: Roller Coaster

There hoisted
The firm galvanized iron
Trembles frankly
As you are in synchronicity
With the candor of
The fractured gears.

Your hands are up
And you brace yourself
For dear life
Or dear death.
Whichever.

What is this?
Trifling wildly
Wanly and almost
Aimlessly as we slither
In a tempestuous velocity
A period of recession
And then a paroxysm
Of rippling fear
That sifts the flesh
From the bone.
