O Tamasa! you are pretty beautiful,
The Water makes the human mind cool
Are you a fairy from Heaven,
Or a nun from the Himalayan Mountain?
The sand, pebbles are sanctified and pure,
Ye ‘Beauty Queen’ are the gift of Nature.
Nature surrenders on your chastity;
How serene, magnificent is your naturality
On you the sun smiles in the morn;
How wonderous and glamorous is the dawn!
The village boys’ sweem in the day
It’s their loving game and gay!
My mother, give me a handful of water
To quench the thirst in summer.
Man may come and man may go,
But you go on for ever to and fro.
