Tambourine Poem by Katherine H. Belle

Tambourine

Your tongue
like a tambourine
Dances just beyond
your parted lips
And I sit here and watch
The curve of your mouth
Slowly forming words
But I cannot hear you
For your beauty screams so loudly
That I am deafened by it's cry
Like the howling wind, it warns me
But it is lost and falling
Falling upon aching ears
And longing eyes
