Tattoo Poem by Nina gáspari

Tattoo

Maybe i should
Tattoo you on my skin
I bet it would hurt
Less than the heartbreak did
I would carry it with me
Everywhere I went to
Better have it out there for
Everyone to see
Than to have it in my heart
Intrinsically in me
I could cover it with my clothes
My jeans or my long sleeves
Better leave it there than to have it
Aching in my heart
Making me weak in the knees
And whenever the rain drops
Explore every inch of that mark
Making that pretty little thing wet
I know at least it won´t drown
My heart
Cause i´ve learned my lesson
And it is now very well kept
