Tears Poem by Gentry Arnold

Tears

The tears, falling from my face...
Show I'm weak...
They show, the disgrace...

Please, for me, don't seek.
I promise, I'm ok.
Though really I'm not..
What do I say..?
It's like within darkness, I'm caught.

The tears, falling from these eyes...
Show I'm weak within...
Show how much I've heard the lies...
Show my sin.

Please, help me..
But don't let me hurt you...
I wish you could see....
I couldn't live, knowing I did that too..

Though at night, alone....
With only the tears I cry...
Never to be shown.
I'll hold my head up high..

No more weeping, I can't think straight...
A single cut, with my blade..

Will I ever see Heaven's gate..?
Lord, why am I always afraid..?

Stop the crying!
Ashamed to show my face...
There's no more denying!
Hell; my rightful place.

But I continue in life, just...hum a song..
It seems to work.
Keep telling myself, I'll belong..
But yet the darkness behind me shall always lurk....

I can't do this anymore..
Help me..
I'm so sore..
Won't you see..?

It's my turn..
So in my coffin, was I laid.
Plese don't yern...
Though my decision; was finally made.
