Tears Poem by Lily Romano

Tears

How do we not run out?
Sitting for hours letting them spill
Rolling down my face as i sit and pout.
God, i just want to take the pill.

They just don't end.
One after another,
and i don't even want to fend.
How can i be like the others?

i want to smile.
So i beg and beg to be happy.
Just for a while?
All they can say is, ‘stop being so sappy! '

i want to laugh,
(At least be able to fake it.)
But i sometimes want to split in half.
I wish to stop, even just for a bit.

But they just keep flowing
Slowly losing my vision as it goes on.
i can't see anyone coming.
How i wish it would stay gone.

i wouldn't have to stress.
i wouldn't have to watch them seethe.
i could get out of this mess.
i wouldn't have to breathe.

All i need is a where and a how.
What's so special about me anyway?
i don't see why i couldn't go now.
I mean, we're all going to die one day.
