Tears Fall And Carve A New Path Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Tears Fall And Carve A New Path

Tears fall and carve a new path.
That separates and then collides.

Tears fall and carve a new path.
That makes you cry out loud.
As if, as if you never made a sound
Or a silent, hushed wish

Tears fall and carve a new path.
That makes you cry like the rain-
On a winter's day

Tears fall like diamonds in the snow.
They freeze as they fall like heavy hail.
With little pieces of your heart and soul

Tears fall, and they create a foggy lane.
Where you can't see the light of day

Tears fall at the break of dawn.
And turn your bedsheets into a marsh.
By the end of the day.

Tears - oh, I am so alone.
Where the ocean has no shores, I can surmise.
Even when I'm looking into their eyes, I'm missing.

Pieces of your heart and soul
With a long way to go
Till my tears are finally dry and I can sigh
With a smile on my face.

With the ghost of yesterday
I still remember when you had love in your eyes
Oh, on happier plains
We walked together with our dreams intact.

Without the shadow of a rainstorm insight
Without a tear in our eyes
More partial to a kiss on our lips
And a buoyant heart and soul drifting on the Nile.
