Tears Of An Angel - Poem by Sam Miles

The tears of an angel....
Golden droplets of pure light....
Fall softly to the ground...
So softly without a sound....

The tears of an angel....
There warming glow....
Though full of despair and sadness...
The sight brings a smile to my face....

What burden can cause such a thing...
Such an act as to even make an angel shed tears.....
What suffering and torture must have become...
To cause a warrior of god to shed tears of sorrow...

A being who has faced the might  Of demons....
And  maybe even the darkness himself....
A being of distinguished might.....
Shedding tears upon this solemn night...

So I'm writing a new page in the records of heaven...
The heavenly soul of an angel will not be looking out for thee...
For the first time a mere mortal such as I shall be looking out for he holy,...
Just As they have forever been by
Me....
