Tears Of Hope Poem by Mpho Tsakata

Tears Of Hope

We plant trees that has no fruit,
That has no shade to sit under it,
That will grow without any sunlight
or any water poured to it's roots,

We act like there is no tomorrow,
trespassing in the devil's den
then tomorrow live with great sorrow
looking for light in the darkness,

Failed passions of descendant hope,
don't compare today with yesterday,
for every generation lives its path holes
like shooting stars each moves its way

Its a life the MIGHTY GOD gave us,
live knowing there is tomorrow
your existence might not be ensured
but your children's lives might be,

As my tears stained up my smile,
there is hope today for tomorrow,
I'm looking at the bright future
whipping out these tears of hope.
