Tears Of Truth Poem by Sarah Green

Tears Of Truth

Running down my cheeks.
Can they never stop?
They make me tired,
they make me sad,
they make me want to leave and never come back.
Want to never see pain again.
Want to run away from the life I am living.
I just want peace of mind that there will be no regrets, and no pain where I go,
I just want it to be easier here to be the one I truly am,
I hide under the cover of peer wants and needs.
They push the real me down, away from sight,
Yet when I write It comes out and shines, when I trust completely it slowly creeps out and shows the true inside of who I am.
I want them to see me for the person I am not just who I'm suppose to be.
I want to shine in the light as the person that could, show who they are to everyone they know.
I want to see that world where you get the world the way you want it.
Falling down my cheeks the tears of truth hurt, but I know that some day I will be that person that I want and I will shine in the light.
