Teddie Poem by cora brooks

Teddie

all that time waiting
rendering all alone
you have not found a home
your all alone
all that time waiting
anticipating
where did it go?
door to door?
door to door
anothr year passing
and never outlasting
on your own
youve got to find a home
-find a home
when everyone else is warm inside
alive inside
hold their chil
and share a smie
your out thre waiting
aticipating the cold outside
barely alive-barely alive
all that time waiting
and now youve got to go
before the rain and snow
and the wind that blows
wrap yourself warmly
and head off down the road
not easy when your all alone
-all alone
no one wants to be all alone
-all alone
