~~~teen-Age~~~
Hey folks, fasten your seat belts as I promise you the most exciting ride of your life...-yes, it's the TEENAGE ride.
Dedicated for all those who have passed their teen-age & rejoicing moments, memories related to it, and not to forget the teens themselves who are still enjoying the golden phase of their life...
Here it goes.....
Today,
in my teenage
I have got the license to thrill.
Sleek, trendy dresses & embedded frill.
Low grades -not a matter to feel.
Racing in my bike faster than a wind-mill.
Price-hike is not for us to think.
Our job is just to wink.
No matter if our neighbors sink,
a great deal is searching orkut or facebook's missing link.
Does nt matter even if the nation mourns,
teens take pride in watching porn...
Frequent SMS's in cells,
and messages and mails.
You should have the clarity,
they are your way to popularity.
Tees, torn jeans sun-glasses
& when the light flashes
on us
nothing in the world will be a fuss.
We love to woo.
Spending hours at loo,
tracking exam's code
can't ever handle it's load...
We are cool
& give a damn to anyone who thinks us as fool.
Accumulating accessory
is a big job.
Without which your wadrobe is misery
for which you don't wanna sob...
Girl's sporting mini-skirt,
oh! ! hunk it's the right time to flirt.
Forget about academics' top slot
we are happy with what ever we have got! ! !
We are not loner
gonna become superstars sooner.
Just put on our feathers,
don't underestimate us as minors...
We live & love life
on any situation we can strive.
we don't fear knife
nor even the bee-hive! ! !
Pubs, parties, over-night stay
Oh! ! ! Lord we are happy and gay.
May our TEENAGE stay
forever, ever and ever
pressure & responsibilities for us
would be never, never & never! ! !
    When I compare our teen age with that of yours, I find there is a generation gap But you have expressed present day teen age feelings and facts with splendid use of words.
    A beautiful, joyful and exhilarating celebration of Teen Age. The romance and bliss are infectious even to us who long back were teens but definitely not enjoyed as is described here feeling a bit jealous for the present gay-abandon teens. Enjoyed the poem so much and wish all the best and pleasantness to all the teens of all times. Very blissful verse oozing our the youthfulness in its peak form.
