Teenage Troubles Poem by Innocent Once

Teenage Troubles

Dad you've got no grades
No GCSE's
I want to be
The first one
To go to college
With knowledge
So please stop asking me
To make the tea
Wash and dry up too
Yes you are a great man
But no
I don't want to end up
Like you
I work hard
To get these grades
So don't ask me to do
The housework
When my life is at steak
Which is something I wont forsake.
