I can't tell what you're thinking
Like I used to be able to do
So I need you to talk
The words coming only from you.

I want you to tell me
What no one else will
Tell me the truth
Because trust, it will instil.

Tell me if I'm overreacting
Tell me if I'm too obsessed
But most of all, tell me
If I'm different from the rest.

Am I the one, in your heart
That you might want to be with?
If I am, tell me
Please don't keep it a myth.

Tell me we're close
And it's not all a lie
Because I'm in the backseat
And all I've done is try.

You don't understand me
Like you tell me you do
Because you can't see my feelings
You just see right through.
