Tell Me Poem by Simon Lawson

Tell Me

Tell me
Do birds think humans sing?
Do they say?
"Aye, wait for the murmuring of the humans"
"They sound the break of dawn"
Chatter, whistle, bellow, call, and screech
Saying to each other
"Did you hear that? "
Do birds think humans sing?
And if so
Do they listen?
