Tell Me Poem by onyinye onwuka

Tell Me

Tell Me
My faith, my strength, my conviction—
I cannot trade its depth for another.
My daily journey through life,
Only strengthens this belief.
Tell me another story, but not my faith,
For I need no other.
Scanning the horizon of life,
Climbing mountains and crossing valleys,
I remain convinced:
My faith, my strength, my hope, my choice.
The journey ahead is unknown,
But my faith and I endure.
Now more determined,
My faith—my compass and my guide.
Conscious of this pilgrim's journey
To attain the mark,
I cling to faith,
A crown to wear at the end.
Tell me another story;
A tale of glory that awaits beyond.
Oh, how I draw strength from this knowledge.
To navigate hurdles, pains, losses, and gains.
Our fleeting stay in this world
Demands a close walk with faith.
For we know not tomorrow,
Yet faith steers us in the right direction,
To tell the story to listening hearts
Of the path we choose.
I watch and wait,
Waiting for the unknown to unfold,
Holding only to faith—
Sufficient and complete in waiting.
Conscious of the final flight
From the known into eternity,
Hopeful that faith will lead, sustain,
And triumph in the end.
Tell me no more;
Faith is sufficient for this journey.
I hold on
And fight the good fight of faith—
My cross to carry,
My crown to win.
